Tantric Communication: Spiritual & Sexy

Diana & Richard Daffner PhotoYou may have heard of Tantra, and think it refers to a sexual practice. Well, yes, and no. Tantra is actually an ancient spiritual training that embraces sexual energy as a pathway to divine consciousness. The principles of tantric lovemaking can also be applied to the way you and your partner communicate with each other.

Tantra is about becoming embodied. Obviously, if you’re reading this, you are embodied, you manifest on earth as a body that houses your spirit. However, to be truly “embodied” means to have intentional, heightened awareness of our own presence. The body is a doorway through which we can step into an even greater sense of ourselves. By centering in the body, we open ourselves to what is beyond the body, to a higher vibration of our own existence.

Some spiritual trainings take an “out-of-body” approach. Tantra instead invites us to become fully present IN the body, in order to access the deeper, non-physical truth of who we are. It is not about being more physical. It is about centering ourselves in the ultimate here and now of our being.   Continue reading

What Is Your Biggest Fear – Today?

As I wrote the other day, I’m in Alex Jeffrey’s coaching program and today we’re talking about and learning Bridge of Fearabout fear. Like the news, fear is what drives a market. Which means I have to look at my biggest fear – just for today. Although I have to say this this fear goes beyond today! My fear is based on my attempts to succeed in internet marketing over the past 10 or so years. Can you believe it’s been that long? I have a hard time comprehending it!

In any case, for today my fear is that no one will want what I am offering. Does that sound familiar? You have all these skills and talents but nobody wants them, or perhaps I should qualify that; no one wants to PAY for them!

You know that I offer Angel readings and Reiki healing sessions. Over the almost three years I produced and hosted Purpose Talk Radio, it became very clear that the highest audience rates occurred when I offered readings on the show. Suddenly the lines went crazy! But these same people never joined my page, never joined the Facebook group, and actually didn’t listen to the show UNLESS they could get a free reading. And often, the same people called in, time after time. In fact, it got to the point that Cindy, my facilitator, made note of several phone numbers because we recognized the name and number, and the person always, single time, asked the same question. And after the reading, whether I was doing it or my guest, these few people would say, “No. That’s not ….”   Continue reading

The Cost of Your Financial Worries

Are you feeling anxious about job losses, housing prices, and global Money Worries photoeconomic meltdowns? Pressured by mortgage payments, gas prices and making payroll in your business? Nervous about financial requests from your clients, spouse, kids or vendors?

There are certainly circumstances that can seem to make an ordinarily cool and collected individual to freak out! Worrying about money is a common response to the ups and downs of financial facts, but feeling terrified about our money doesn’t serve us, grow our businesses or make us rich. It is possible to stay calm, handle changes in financial conditions, and grow prosperously.

Anxious people don’t make good money choices

People who are anxious, upset and distracted don't make the best financial decisions. In creating a Continue reading

Sparkling Up Your To Do List

Impossibly long Hunt Down A Good Timelists of stuff I should do every day are bringing me down. It’s like resolutions that you’re all gung ho about, and then a few weeks or months in, you realize you failed, and then you feel worse than before you made the resolution. It gets to the point where you’re dreading your days, because you totally forgot the fun in your attempt to do better, be better, get better.

I have a new tactic this year, and it’s different than anything I’ve ever attempted. The first part is probably the most challenging for many people. It’s the decision that I’m already absolutely good, fine, right, and wonderful exactly as I am. There’s nothing to fix. The world won’t stop if shit doesn’t get done. The idea that some stuff can be delegated takes a while to land when you’re running so hard you don’t have time to stop and plan.

It’s times like these, when I accidentally slip into an old habit pattern, that I suddenly realize I have amazing tools at my disposal. After all, I teach other women how to hoist up their lace thongs and operate from another   Continue reading

Seasonal Rituals

Ritual is important to us as human beings. It ties us to our traditions and our histories. ~Miller Williams  Ristra Maker by Zulia Gotay de Anderson

Sitting around the fire, remembering all the traditions and rituals my abuelita taught me around this time of sacredness. Making homemade chocolatito and bunelos, inhaling the aromas of the red chile, posole and sweetness of the biscochitos. Feeling my abuelita near and deep in my heart as the traditions are being learned by the next generation in my grandson and grandbaby to be...my soul is content.

Everything I learned was a ritual from picking herbs, to making cafecito. Ceremony was a way of life.  Till this day there is nothing I do that isn’t done in ceremony.  People that enter my home always mention “your home feels so sacred, your home reminds me of my grandma’s home etc” I smile for my home is ceremonial.  I take great care in placing incense, crystals, fresh flowers and always a lit candle on my altar.

Now a days we are always rushing, going from this to that and wondering why we are depleted or exhausted   Continue reading

Merry Christmas And Happy New Year

New Year Blessings Today is the end of Christmas Day; a time when I like to review my many blessings, joys, sorrows and yes, the pains in the past year. Christmas brings with it all of those emotions, doesn't it, no matter who we are or what our life "appears" to be.

Although we are not allowed to go back and change the things that happened, no matter how ardently we might want to do that, our only real option is to go forward - into a New Year. That is one of the real reasons we celebrate this day - to rejoice in the love and wonder of the past year, to grieve for the sorrows of the year, and to prepare for the coming of a brand new year. A year that gives us the incredible opportunity to revise our present and create a year for plenty, of joy, of love, and of peace in our souls. Yes, there will be sorrows in this upcoming year. That, whether we like it or not, is a part of life. And always remember, we/you/I CHOSE to live this life! We did not come into this physical form as some sort of accident of birth. No! We CHOSE this physical body, as beautiful or flawed as it is. We CHOSE our family, as beautiful and/or as dysfunctional as they are. We CHOSE  our path, as rich or poor, as famous or simple, as bitter or happy. Don't ever forget this - you CHOSE your life! You CHOSE your path, and   Continue reading
